BURUKUNI VILLAGE

Burukuni Village

Burukuni village is the most isolated Seventh-day Adventist(SDA) village in Choiseul Province.  The village is on north coast of Choiseul Province.  The village use to have a Seventh-day Adventist church clinic in the past years.  The village currently has few families.

There is a Seventh-day Adventist Layman that manages the church interests in the village.  The Adventist Laymen at Burukuni village is responsible for the Adventist out-reach work to other nearby viilages in the Varese district of Lauru Island in Solomon Islands. There are great distances before another SDA village on either side of the Burukuni village.  Consequently, Burukuni village is certainly a Seventh-day Adventist outpost in Lauru Island.
