Sasamunga Village
Sasamunga village may be the largest village in Lauru (Choiseul) Province. The village is on the south coast of Choiseul Province. For years the villlage has been playing key roles in the development of Choisuel Province. The village has been the pioneer of health services in Choiseul Province. As a result the village hosts the famous Sasamunga Hospital.
The village is a United Church village with satellite broadband internet access as well as mobile phone services. Taro airport is the nearest airstrip which is on the island of Taro.
There is a Seventh-day Adventist company church in this large village.

The Sasamunga villagers and Sasamunga hospital management are creating a project to build a new house for doctor in Sasamunga hospital, Sasamunga village. Local communities started to collect some monies for the project. However, the locals need external funds to complete the project. Thus, the villagers are now requesting donor(s) who may be able to help with extra monies to complete the project.
