MANAGEMENT STRUCTURES
Katurasele Seveth-day Adventist Church authorised the management of Lauru Supporting Ministry(LSM) to manage the final phase, Phase III, of the Katurasele church project. This project has been utilising the Australian Volunteers to help in building the new church building. LMS had managed the Phase I & Phase II of the project. Now LSM uses katurasele.org once again to collaborate with the Katurasele local church to plan and implement the Phase III of the church building project. This Phase III now has a management structure to guide the project.
You can click here to see the key management structures of the Phase III of the Katurasele church project that LSM organises. LSM will remain to be the coordinating organisation for the project. Furthermore, the key team in Solomon Islands that will collaborate with LSM through katurasele.org is at Taro, Choiseul Province, Solomon Islands. The team members at Taro are Hooper Silas and Christoper Makoni. The team at Taro is the Solomon Islands Liasion Team(SILT). This team will collaborate with LSM (through katurasele.org), the Katurasele Seventh-day Adventist church and the Australian Volunteers for the final phase, Phase III, of the Katurasele church project. Hence, the team at Taro is the only team in Solomon Islands that LSM authorises as the main point-of-contact in Solomon Islands.
The Solomon Islands Liasion Team(SILT) at Taro now replaces the old team in Honiara. LSM through the katurasele.org, did request the team in Honiara to help in the Phase I & Phase II of the project that had retired. However, the LSM will no longer use the Honiara team as the point-of-contact and management in Solomon Islands. The Taro team will be the only main point-of-contact for the Phase III of the katurasele church project that LSM organises via katurasele.org.
The team at Taro will collaborate with LSM via katurasele.org. This collaboration will use the latest affordable means of communications to move the project forward. This means distance between the LSM base in Australia and Taro at Choiseul Province, solomon Islands will not be seen a barrier. LSM will use the social networks, emails, websites, phone calls, etc to boost collaboration. Hence, distance will not be a barrier but rather create opportunities for empowerment and building of capacities. This will benefit the team at Taro and the local church at Katurasele village. Hooper and Christoper have proven, during the Phase I & Phase II of the project, that they are more than capable to collaborate with LSM to get the project to the finish line under the leading of GOD.
In addition, LSM will select other individuals in Solomon Islands to help in the project, when the time is right. Therefore, when the time is right katurasele.org will make such annoucements on this website. However, the team at Taro will be the only team that will play the pivotal role as the main Liasion team in Solomon Islands for the project that LSM organises for Katurasele Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Therefore, LSM is now collaborating with the team at Taro, Choiseul Province, Solomon Islands to prepare for Phase III of the project. LSM and SILT are particularly working on key issues like communication systems and key management structures(including financial management) for the final phase. At the same time LSM is finalising the Budget and detail costings of the Phase III of the project.
