Latkin Ghambuvai, Literature Evangelist

07 June, 2009

My name is Latkin Ghabuvai.  I have been doing colportuer work for fifteen (15) years.  As the Unit Leader, I coordinate the activities of ten (10) Literature Evangelists in Western, Choiseul and Isabel Provinces of Solomon Islands.

Let me share with you my recent canvassing (colporteur) experience at Taro in Choiseul Province.  Taro is the Provincial Headquarter of Choiseul Province.  I was in Taro for 8 days, from April 16 to April 23, 2009.  I slept in one of the motels at Taro.  As a result the Manager of the motel requested me to show his family all the books I was selling.  I showed him the supplies that I took with me.  The Manager then bought the following books;

I also presented to the Motel Manager ( and family) one Ten Commandment and Bible Reading book.   It is my hope that the Motel Manager and family will, one day, find the truth through the readings of the books.

These were some of the activities that I did at Taro Provincial Headquarter on this occassion;

I believe Taro is ready for Evangelistic Programs.  Taro is a unique place in Choiseul Island because it is the Provincial Headquarter for the Province.  During my 8 days of canvassing (colporteur work) at Taro, I sold books to Business people, Nurses, Politicians, Teachers and ordinary Villagers.  Choiseul Province is hungry for the word of God.  The harvest is indeed great but the reapers are few.

Our Team experience challenges as we work as Colporteurs on the rural & remote areas.  Our current needs are;

I believe this story will help you to appreciate the works of God's Love in Taro, Choiseul Province, Solomon Islands
